ABOUT THE UKRAINIAN TRYZUB
The national coat of arms of Ukraine, the Tryzub, dates back to the 10th century, when it was used by Volodymyr the Great, Prince of Kyiv, as the symbol of his dynasty. It is thought to represent a diving hawk, which would have carried particularly powerful spiritual symbolism among naturalistic, pre-Christian Ukrainians. The intricate lines are also thought to be a monogram for the Ukrainian word “Volya,” meaning freedom. In 1918, it was chosen as the national symbol of the short-lived Ukrainian People’s Republic. After its destruction by the Bolsheviks, the Tryzub was banned, and remained illegal for 70 years. When Ukraine became an independent state once again in 1991, it was adopted as the national symbol once more.

ABOUT THE UKRAINIAN CANADIAN ADVOCACY GROUP
All proceeds from the sale of the Tryzub pendants benefit the Ukrainian Canadian Advocacy Group, a non-profit organization that is currently organizing and fully funding rehabilitation programs for Ukrainian children affected by the war, as well as sending tactical medicine to the heroes on the front lines.
