Episode Twenty-Eight: Sandy Sidhu
It wasn’t that long ago that Sandy Sidhu was well on her way to becoming a doctor. When she was accepted into the competitive cell and genetics degree program at the University of British Columbia, she finally had what she’d always wanted – or at least, what she thought she wanted. What Sandy didn’t know at the time was that she was destined for another path entirely, one that would transform her from pre-med student into an accomplished actress whose growing filmography includes dynamic performances in Grey’s Anatomy, Supernatural, You Me Her, Arctic Air, Primeval New World, Supergirl, and Hallmark Channel’s Frozen in Love. Earlier this year, Sandy filmed her biggest role yet: that of Nazneen Khan in Global Television’s upcoming medical drama, Nurses. Sandy joins Sabrina Furminger for an entertaining and introspective discussion that touches on her awesome origin story, being the child of immigrants, overcoming Impostor Syndrome, her soul-stirring visit to Shondaland, and that time she was killed by carnivorous insects on Primeval New World.
